3. Installation och installation

The Fydun Thermal Overload Protector is designed for panel mounting. Its compact form factor allows for integration into various electrical systems, including those found in generators, table saws, and other machinery requiring circuit protection.

1. Strömavstängning: Before beginning installation, ensure that all power to the circuit where the protector will be installed is completely disconnected. Verify with a voltage testare.
2. Montering: The protector is designed for panel mounting. Drill an appropriately sized hole in your panel or enclosure. Secure the protector using the threaded collar and nut provided.
3. Kabeldragning: Connect the circuit wires to the spade terminals on the back of the protector. Ensure connections are secure and correct according to your circuit diagram. The device is rated for DC 50V and AC 125-250V, 50/60Hz.
4. Kontroll: Double-check all connections and ensure the protector is firmly mounted.

4. Bruksanvisning

The thermal overload protector functions as an automatic circuit breaker. When an overcurrent condition occurs, the internal thermal element heats up and trips the breaker, disconnecting the circuit to prevent damage. The white button will pop out, indicating a tripped state.

1. Normal drift: Once installed and wired correctly, the protector allows current to flow through the circuit.
2. Överbelastningsskydd: If the current exceeds the rated amperage (e.g., 10A, 15A, or 20A), the protector will automatically trip.
3. Resetting the Protector: After the protector trips, identify and resolve the cause of the overcurrent (e.g., remove the overloaded device, fix a short circuit). Allow a brief period for the thermal element to cool down. Then, firmly press the white reset button back in until it clicks into place. The circuit should now be re-energized.

CAUTION: Do not force the reset button if it does not stay in. Repeated tripping indicates a persistent problem that must be addressed.

  - The protector itself might be faulty. Consider replacement if other causes are ruled out.
• Protector does not reset:
  - The thermal element may still be too hot. Allow more time for cooling.
  - The underlying overcurrent condition may still be present. Ensure the fault is cleared.
  - The protector may be damaged internally. Replacement is necessary.
• No power to circuit after installation:
  - Check all wiring connections for correctness and tightness.
  - Ensure the protector's reset button is fully engaged.
  - Verify that power is supplied to the input side of the protector.
