5. Installation

5.1. Prepare the Rough Opening
Construct a rough opening in your wall. The minimum height should be 84 1/2 inches (2.14m). The width should be 2 times the door width plus 1 inch (25mm).
5.2. Measure for Frame Header End Brackets
Set a nail at the door height plus 3/4 inch (19mm) or 1-1/2 inches (38mm) from the sub-floor, depending on your specific door height requirements.
5.3. Snap a Chalk Line
Snap a chalk line on the floor to mark the position for the bottom of the frame.
5.4. Attach Frame Header to Rough Studs
Secure the frame header to the rough studs using the provided screws. Ensure it is level and properly aligned.

5.5. Attach Split Steel Studs
Attach the split steel studs to the header and the floor, ensuring they are plumb and securely fastened. Use the included steel stud screws.
